Private Pay, Out-of-Network, and In-Network Insurance Options

Each option reflects the fee per 50-60 min session accepted via credit, debit, HSA/FSA. You will not be asked to explain your choice. I believe that you understand your financial situation, and that you can have the ability to choose an option that best fits you. Therapy services are the same regardless of the price point you choose.

Out-of-Network Benefits

I am an out-of-network provider for most PPO health insurances. If your plan includes out‑of‑network benefits, then your insurance may pay for some of the cost.

I have partnered with Mentaya, a service that streamlines getting reimbursed for your therapy sessions through out-of-network benefits. Please use the tool below to check your out of network benefits. If you choose to use this service, the 5% fee charged per claim is covered by my practice.

If you prefer, you may also manually submit a monthly Superbill to your insurance for reimbursement.

Before you begin services please review your Explanation of Benefits and/or call your insurance provider to verify if your insurance covers out-of-network therapy.

  • Call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask the following:

    “I would like to start outpatient mental health therapy and my provider is out-of-network with my insurance”

    • Do I have out-of-network benefits for outpatient therapy? 

    • Is there a deductible I need to meet before I am reimbursed for sessions?

    • After the deductible, what percentage will be reimbursed for out-of-network therapy?

    • What is the process for reimbursement? Is reimbursement based on the provider’s billed rate or on an “allowed amount”?

    • Are there any limitations for my out-of-network benefits? (number of sessions, diagnosis, type of treatment).

In-Network Insurance

I accept in-network insurance with the following plans (must be your primary insurance).
